The East Troy Electric Railroad is a heritage railroad operating passenger excursions on a 7-mile stretch of track from East Troy, Wisconsin to Mukwonago, Wisconsin. (reporting mark METW) The East Troy Electric Railroad also operates a museum and several miles of the track offering rides on a weekly basis during the spring through fall season. The original substation building in East Troy, Wisconsin is used as a ticket office and museum, and visitors can purchase rides to the Elegant Farmer store at Phantom Woods, near Mukwonago. A collection of approximately 40 pieces of electric railway equipment is kept in storage barns in downtown East Troy and at Phantom Woods. |
Wisconsin & Southern Railroad
Passenger and freight railroad company servicing Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. WSOR serves Waukesha County from two points: its Janesville Terminal which is located to the west of the county, and from the east from the North Milwaukee Yard. Waukesha County is located in southeastern Wisconsin, west of Milwaukee. The WSOR railroad runs through the central section of the county. Communities in Waukesha County include: Eagle, North Prairie, and Genesee Depot. |
