From The Associated Press A railroad spokesman says a northbound Amtrak train has struck and killed a person on the tracks at Nisqually, Thurston County, about 25 miles south of Tacoma. Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman Gus Melonas says the fatality occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Friday. He says it's the fifth fatality this month on BNSF tracks in the Puget Sound area.
