Getting There: Funding sought for John Wayne trail - Mon, 27 Feb 2012 PST
There’s a chance the John Wayne Pioneer Trail in Whitman and Spokane counties could get $1.2 million in improvements as early as 2013. Washington State Parks is seeking a federal grant to pay for 80 percent of the improvements, including a trail deck and safety rails on the Tekoa Trestle in northeastern Whitman County. |

PASCO, Wash. (AP) -- The man found dead on the railroad tracks near the Amtrak station in Pasco has been identified as 39-year-old Ricky Mash of Spokane. The Franklin County coroner told KNDU Mash was hit by a train and he did have an Amtrak ticket. His body was spotted Thursday night by a railroad worker. |
