April 18 2012 - Berea Fire Fighters Mourning Loss of Their Own The Berea Fire Department and Mount Vernon Fire Department lost one of their own Friday morning. 29-year-old Christopher Kerns was killed after his 2008 Chevy pickup truck collided with a CSX Freight Train just outside Mount Vernon.
