Train, truck collide in NE Harris County
A train and big rig collided in northeast Harris County late Monday morning. UPDATE: Boy falls from bridge, dies
A teenage boy died near Winslow early Friday morning after he fell from a 125-foot railroad bridge. Central Emergency Services Capt. Steve Harrison said the boy was with other teens when he fell from the bridge, located just south of Winslow on Trestle Road, about 1:30 a.m. Washington County Coroner Roger Morris confirmed the boy’s name was Travis Cox. High-speed rail revisions may soften impact in Harrisburg
The home of D-Day veteran Ira Lee Taylor has been spared. Taylor’s house, along with several others on Stallings Road, was marked for demolition to make way for the high-speed rail that will cut through Harrisburg.
