LEWISBURG — Amid great fanfare, the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail opened Friday morning, more than three years after the state gave the Lewisburg Area Recreation Authority $3.7 million to build the nine-mile path along a former rail line between Lewisburg and Mifflinburg.
