Passengers who ride the South Shore Line to Chicago should expect "rigorous" security checks this Sunday and Monday, and 11 trains will be cancelled Monday due to the NATO summit at McCormick Place, the railroad announced today. |

However, there will be a number of restrictions affecting travel from Saturday through Sunday and several canceled trains on Monday. |

The NATO Summit in Chicago Sunday and Monday will have a big effect on South Shore train service. The South Shore is asking you to stay at home if your don't have to travel. All food and drink has been banned from trains this weekend, and westbound trains into Chicago between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday have been cancelled. |
