COLUMBIA COUNTY — The five-mile addition to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail that is planned to form a link from Copake Falls to the hamlet of Hillsdale, is making great progress after receiving a $121,965 grant from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and $40,655 raised by the Copake Hillsdale Rail Trail Alliance — making a total of $162,620. |

SEATTLE -- BNSF Railway Co. agreed to pay $1.5 million for Puget Sound restoration projects to resolve a lawsuit over storm water pollution at its Seattle facility.
