December 09 2011 - No one injured when ‘Polar Express’ holiday train derails in upstate NY; 3 cars jumped tracks UTICA, N.Y. — Authorities in upstate New York say none of the nearly 370 people aboard a “Polar Express” holiday train were injured when three cars derailed. Police and railroad officials tell media outlets that the train had just left the Utica station when the derailment occurred around 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
