Montclair-boonton Line

commuter rail line on New Jersey Transit Rail's Hoboken Division. It is a consolidation of the Montclair Branch and the Boonton Line, formed when the Montclair Connection opened on September 30, 2002. Out of 31 inbound and 34 outbound daily weekday trains, 21 inbound and 22 outbound Midtown Direct trains (about 66%) use the Kearny Connection (opened June 10, 1996) to Secaucus Junction and New York Penn Station; the rest go to Hoboken Terminal. Trains to Hoboken run only at rush hour. Passengers can transfer at Secaucus Junction, Newark Broad Street Station, Montclair State University or Dover to reach another destinations if necessary. |

UPDATE: Boy falls from bridge, dies
A teenage boy died near Winslow early Friday morning after he fell from a 125-foot railroad bridge. Central Emergency Services Capt. Steve Harrison said the boy was with other teens when he fell from the bridge, located just south of Winslow on Trestle Road, about 1:30 a.m. Washington County Coroner Roger Morris confirmed the boy’s name was Travis Cox.
