commuter rail line on New Jersey Transit Rail's Hoboken Division. It is a consolidation of the Montclair Branch and the Boonton Line, formed when the Montclair Connection opened on September 30, 2002. Out of 31 inbound and 34 outbound daily weekday trains, 21 inbound and 22 outbound Midtown Direct trains (about 66%) use the Kearny Connection (opened June 10, 1996) to Secaucus Junction and New York Penn Station; the rest go to Hoboken Terminal. Trains to Hoboken run only at rush hour. Passengers can transfer at Secaucus Junction, Newark Broad Street Station, Montclair State University or Dover to reach another destinations if necessary.

October 24 2011 - ‘Railroad Crossing’ quilt displayed in Easley Park
Easley Park is the site of a “Railroad Crossing” quilt, also sponsored by the Mountain Lakes Region of the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor and the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor. The quilt block is located in the 100 block of Pendleton Street in Easley. Though the original quilter is unknown, the original cloth quilt can be seen at The Occasional Bunny in downtown Easley.
