November 08 2011 - Compartment of a locomotive sustains damage from a fire
Faulty electrical components apparently started the fire The inside compartment of a railroad locomotive sustained damage from a fire this morning. The train crew tried to put it out with extinguishers, but returned to Hollister around four o'clock to get help from the Western Taney County Fire Department. Faulty electrical components apparently started the fire, no one was hurt.

November 08 2011 - Locomotive burns in Hollister
HOLLISTER, Mo. -- At 4:03 a.m. Tuesday, the Western Taney County Fire District was dispatched to a report of a locomotive on fire near the Waste Water Treatment Plant on Railroad Ave. When units arrived, the train was not found and crews had to wait briefly for the train to arrive.

Dock workers from L&H Dock Service and The Empire District Electric Co. use barges to push a dock away from the railroad bridge in downtown Branson. The private dock broke loose during flooding on Lake Taneycomo.
