May 18 2011 - Old news 100 years ago — 1911: Weighing 3,600 tons, the biggest freight train ever hauled over this division of the Great Northern and one of the largest ever hauled in the Northwest traveled yesterday between Harrington and Wilson Creek. The train was made up of 28 loaded cars, 82 empties and a caboose. A.Z. Jones was the conductor. |
