Work will resume March 19 on two tracks between Southport and Bridgeport and could result in train delays and service disruptions, according to the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Guillermo Rivera, a Bridgeport man with a lengthy criminal record was arrested on sexual-assault charges Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 after police said he was linked by DNA to a rape outside the city train station in June 2010. Rivera, 44, of Denver Avenue, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and aggravated first-degree sexual assault and was being held in lieu of $200,000 bond. |
