Editorial: Seek extension on bullet train project -- There are too many potential problems standing
The first phase of California's high-speed rail project is a risky venture in high-speed construction that faces many chances for derailment. Rather than trying to fast-track the project, the High Speed Rail Authority should ask the feds for a realistic extension. Unless the 130-mile section between Bakersfield and Fresno were completed by September 2017 federal funding could be jeopardized. |
