Chico is the located in Butte County, California. The “city of roses” is a cultural, economic, and educational center of the northern Sacramento Valley. Chico is a home of Chico State University and Bidwell Park. Amtrak operates the Chico Amtrak station at Fifth and Orange Streets for the Coast Starlight service. The terminal is partially wheelchair accessible, has an enclosed waiting area, public restrooms, public pay phones, free short-term and long-term parking. Trains run between Seattle and Los Angeles with a northbound, and a southbound train departing from the station daily |

Amtrak's Chico Station is located in the old Southern Pacific Depot, which has been renovated and updated.The station is a stop for Amtrak's once a day Coast Starlight as well as Amtrak California Motor Coach connections to/from the San Joaquins. Passengers board the trains on the trackside of the building (duh!), but bus passengers board buses on the Orange Street side of the building. (Look for the Bus Stop Sign.) Chico is an unstaffed stop. Neither tickets, baggage, nor package express shipments are handled at this location. |
