Rock throwers damage cars — this time on Stevenson
At least a dozen cars were damaged Wednesday night on the Stevenson Expressway by rock throwers, Illinois State Police said. Police first started hearing reports of people throwing rocks onto the expressway from a train track overpass near Pulaski shortly after 9:30 p.m., an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper said. Two adolscent boys suffered serious injuries when they jumped off a train box car near Fullerton Avenue and Pulaski Road in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood on the Northwest Side, according to the Chicago Fire Department. |

State Supreme Court reinstates search evidence
The Arkansas Supreme Court split 4 to 3 today in a ruling that overturned a circuit judge’s decision that suppressed drug evidence in a night time search of a trailer in Jacksonville. The search violated rules that govern nighttime searches, according to Circuit Judge Wendell Griffin in Pulaski County Circuit Court. |

Light Rail system cancels trip from Cromwell As of 9 a.m. Monday, traffic was slow on northbound I-95 past U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway), after a two-car accident. Emergency roadwork slowed northbound Charles Street near Bellona Avenue, and an accident slowed traffic near Eddington and Joppa roads. |
